Healing Through music
VAHLiiN, an up and coming mysterious indie artist, singer, songwriter, composer, producer and arranger from New Zealand, who brings his background as a spiritual healer and teacher into his passion for music by writing songs, that are relatable, inspirational and promote healing and growth.
Following his debut single "Alive In You" in late November 2024 inspired by his fathers passing in October 2023, VAHLiiN finally released his second single "WHY" a song that confronts the ongoing heavy global reality of racism through a lens of empowerment, reflection and equality, pushing for unity among all people instead of seperation and division.
Coming from a very musical family background and of strong Polynesian roots - Ardijah and cousin to lead singer of New Zealand electronic dance, drum and bass band Shapeshifter - mixed with Taiwanese, Irish and Hispanic roots (just to name a few), VAHLiiN naturally carries rhythm and music in his blood and expresses himself through a multitude of musical directions and intentionally bends the barriers between genres.
Being a true independent artist, VAHLiiN creates all music himself - lyrics, composition, arrangement and production - and has no funding or support from industry professionals or labels, but for his new single "WHY" started to leverage modern AI tools that can improve the production process. He is naturally passionate about sharing the hidden truth about not only the music industry and many so-called "independent" artists, but all matters globally that have been hidden from the public and benefit only those in power.

“Perfectly Imperfect” - A song about acceptance and self worth
Following his powerful anti-racism anthem “WHY”, VAHLiiN returns with “Perfectly Imperfect” - a vibrant, upbeat Pop/Rock anthem designed to inspire, uplift, and encourage self-acceptance. It features a modern vocal production, with a driving electric guitar and bass foundation.
Written in 2020, the track stems from a deeply personal turning point in VAHLiiN's journey. Having been physically athletic his entire life, becoming a father of 3 again in his 40s brought a phase of unexpected weight gain. This physical shift gave him a profound, newfound empathy for those struggling with body image and physical discomfort. True to his signature style of writing exclusively from raw personal experience, VAHLiiN channelled this vulnerability into a song about releasing the toxic demand for perfection and embracing our human flaws.
With this track he is hoping to inspire many others who are struggling with their self image for different reasons - encouraging them to be themselves exactly as they are and be proud of it!

WHY - A song about Equality and Reflection
After a long wait of nearly 1.5 years since his debut, his new single “WHY” - a song he wrote in 2020 inspired by the global movement sparked by the George Floyd tragedy - has finally been released on June 17th 2026.
The song is dedicated to all indiginous people of colour all across the globe who are still fighting for their freedom, rights and equality. Tackeling the heavy ongoing global topic of racism in the song, VAHLiiN is sharing a lens of empowerment and reflection that calls for unity instead of separation.
Being a New Zealand born Polynesian cookislander in Aotearoa, VAHLiiN deeply understands the pain and passion from personal experience, but chooses to look past anger and hatred towards understanding and change.
