Healing Through music
VAHLiiN, an up and coming mysterious indie artist, singer, songwriter, composer, producer and arranger from New Zealand, who brings his background as a spiritual healer and teacher into his passion for music by writing songs, that are relatable, inspirational and promote healing and growth.
Following his debut single "Alive In You" in late November 2024 inspired by his fathers passing in October 2023, VAHLiiN finally released his second single "WHY" a song that confronts the ongoing heavy global reality of racism through a lens of empowerment, reflection and equality, pushing for unity among all people instead of seperation and division.
Coming from a very musical family background and of strong Polynesian roots - Ardijah and cousin to lead singer of New Zealand electronic dance, drum and bass band Shapeshifter - mixed with Taiwanese, Irish and Hispanic roots (just to name a few), VAHLiiN naturally carries rhythm and music in his blood and expresses himself through a multitude of musical directions and intentionally bends the barriers between genres.
Being a true independent artist, VAHLiiN creates all music himself - lyrics, composition, arrangement and production - and has no funding or support from industry professionals or labels, but for his new single "WHY" started to leverage modern AI tools that can improve the production process. He is naturally passionate about sharing the hidden truth about not only the music industry and many so-called "independent" artists, but all matters globally that have been hidden from the public and benefit only those in power.
LATEST RELEASE - Didn't let us say goodbye
VAHLiiN is keeping new music coming, with his latest release “Didn't Let Us Say Goodbye” - a track that blends soul and sophisti-pop while expressing the deep and raw emotions of grief, betrayal and forgiveness.
The song came into life, as VAHLiiN was working through the deeply human experience of loosing his father in 2024, but not being told by anybody until weeks after the funeral. The pain and giref of loosing a loved one, combined with the pain of betrayal and being outcasted, resulted in this emotional and soulful track, choosing forgiveness towards his family who betrayed him and elevating his own spirit, rather than holding on to resentment and letting the pain consume him.
“Didn't Let Us SAY Goodbye” is for all those who are the black sheep of their family or general society and those who resonate to the deep pain of not having been able to say goodbye to their loved one. The lyrics and music are intended to encourage forgiveness to liberate your own soul and freeing yourself from the pain.
